What formats do I get back?
Every file produces two outputs: a print-ready PDF and an IDML file. IDML opens natively in Affinity Publisher 2 and Adobe InDesign.
What is IDML and what apps can open it?
IDML is an open layout format supported by Affinity Publisher 2 and Adobe InDesign. In Affinity Publisher: File → Open the .idml (first time: right-click the pasteboard, set color to white, disable “Clip to Canvas”). In InDesign: File → Open works directly.
How long does conversion take?
Jobs process one at a time on a dedicated machine. A 10-file job typically finishes in under 30 minutes. A 200-file job may take a few hours. We email you when it's done.
What if some files can't be converted?
We convert every file we can. Any file we can't convert is refunded automatically within 24 hours of processing starting — you're only charged for successful conversions.
Does file size affect the price?
No. Every .pub file is the same price regardless of size, up to 500 MB per file.
How are my files stored?
Files are uploaded directly to encrypted cloud storage using a presigned URL — they never pass through our web servers. Input files are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Output files (PDF + IDML) are deleted 48 hours after your job completes.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If a file fails to convert, we refund that file automatically; if the entire job fails, you receive a full refund. Refunds are issued within 24 hours of processing starting and appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.
